Discipleship & Bible Teaching

Growing in Christ through the Word of God

At Bridges of Grace, we believe the Gospel is not only something people hear once. It is the truth that shapes a person’s whole life.

Jesus did not only command His followers to preach the Gospel. He also commanded them to make disciples. That means helping people know Him, follow Him, obey His Word, grow in faith, and become mature believers who can also help others walk with God.

Discipleship is one of the deepest parts of our mission. We do not only want people to come to faith in Jesus Christ. We want them to be rooted in Him, strengthened by His Word, and equipped to live as faithful witnesses in their families, communities, and everyday lives.

Why discipleship matters

Many people hear about God, but they are never taught how to walk with Him.

They may believe in Jesus, but they still need someone to teach them the Word, pray with them, encourage them, correct them, and help them grow in spiritual maturity.

At Bridges of Grace, we believe discipleship is the steady work of walking with people as they become more like Christ. It is patient. It is relational. It is biblical. It is full of grace and truth.

Through discipleship, believers learn how to pray, study Scripture, resist temptation, forgive others, serve faithfully, love their families, care for their communities, and live with purpose.

The Word of God is our foundation

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for our faith, doctrine, teaching, correction, ministry, and daily life.

This is why Bible teaching is central to Bridges of Grace. We want every person we serve to be shaped by the truth of Scripture and the love of Jesus Christ.

The Word of God gives wisdom.
The Word of God brings correction.
The Word of God builds faith.
The Word of God gives hope.
The Word of God teaches us how to live.

When people are rooted in the Word, they are better prepared to follow Christ, serve others, and stand firm in difficult seasons.

What we teach

Our discipleship and Bible teaching ministry focuses on helping people understand and live out the Christian faith.

We teach about:

The Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Salvation by grace through faith.
Prayer and daily walk with God.
The authority of Scripture.
The life and teachings of Jesus.
The work of the Holy Spirit.
Christian character and spiritual growth.
Marriage, family, and godly living.
Serving others with love and humility.
Evangelism and the Great Commission.
Leadership, stewardship, and calling.
The Church as the body of Christ.

Our goal is not only to pass on information. Our goal is transformation.

Discipleship in Uganda

In Uganda, discipleship happens through Bridges of Grace Church, house church gatherings, Bible teaching, prayer, children and youth guidance, leadership training, and community-based ministry.

Because Bridges of Grace Church is currently operating as a house church in Central Uganda, discipleship is personal and relational. People are taught in a setting where they can ask questions, receive prayer, grow in fellowship, and be encouraged in their walk with Christ.

As we prepare for the official church launch in January 2027, discipleship will remain one of the strongest foundations of the church. We want to build a church that does not only gather people, but grows people in the Word of God.

Discipleship in Minnesota

In Minnesota, Bridges of Grace continues missionary and discipleship work through Bible teaching, prayer, Gospel outreach, and community engagement.

We believe discipleship is needed everywhere. Whether in Uganda or the United States, people need the Word of God, Christian community, prayer, and spiritual guidance.

Our desire is to serve people in Minnesota while also strengthening and supporting the discipleship work in Uganda.

Raising faithful followers of Jesus

Discipleship is not only about learning. It is about becoming.

We want to see children grow up knowing the Word of God.
We want to see young people guided by truth and wisdom.
We want to see women and men strengthened in faith.
We want to see families built on prayer and Scripture.
We want to see leaders raised with humility and integrity.
We want to see believers become disciples who also make disciples.

This is the heart of Bridges of Grace.

Our prayer

Our prayer is that Bridges of Grace will raise faithful disciples who know Jesus, love His Word, walk in obedience, and serve others with grace.

We want to help people move from hearing the Gospel to living the Gospel.

We want to help believers grow from spiritual infancy to maturity.

We want to see lives built on Christ, families strengthened by Scripture, and communities shaped by the love and truth of God’s Word.
