Discipleship & Bible Teaching

Growing in Christ through the Word of God

At Bridges of Grace, we believe the Gospel is not only a message to be heard. It is a life to be lived.

Jesus calls people to believe in Him, follow Him, learn His Word, and grow into faithful disciples. This is why discipleship and Bible teaching are central to our mission.

We do not want people to only hear about Jesus for a moment. We want them to know Him deeply, walk with Him daily, and become rooted in the truth of Scripture.

Discipleship is the patient work of walking with people as they grow in faith. It happens through teaching, prayer, encouragement, correction, fellowship, and love.

Why discipleship matters

Many people come to faith with a sincere heart, but they still need guidance.

They need someone to open the Bible with them.
Someone to pray with them.
Someone to help them understand the way of Christ.
Someone to remind them that following Jesus is a daily journey.

At Bridges of Grace, we believe spiritual growth happens best in relationship. People need the Word of God, but they also need Christian community, wise leaders, and faithful examples.

Through discipleship, believers learn how to pray, study Scripture, forgive, serve, resist temptation, love their families, care for others, and live with purpose.

Our prayer is to help people become steady, mature, and fruitful followers of Jesus Christ.

The Word of God is our foundation

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for our faith, teaching, ministry, and daily life.

The Word of God teaches us truth.
It brings wisdom to our decisions.
It corrects our hearts.
It strengthens our faith.
It gives hope in difficult seasons.

This is why Bible teaching is not a side part of Bridges of Grace. It is one of the foundations of everything we do.

When people are rooted in Scripture, they are better prepared to follow Christ, serve their families, love their neighbors, and stand firm in faith.

What we teach

Our discipleship and Bible teaching ministry helps people understand the Christian faith and live it out with humility and obedience.

We teach about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, salvation by grace through faith, prayer, Scripture, the life and teachings of Jesus, the work of the Holy Spirit, Christian character, family life, service, evangelism, stewardship, leadership, and the mission of the Church.

The goal is not only information. The goal is transformation.

We want the truth of God’s Word to shape the heart, guide the mind, strengthen the family, and prepare believers to serve others with love.

Discipleship in Uganda

In Uganda, discipleship happens through Bridges of Grace Church, house church gatherings, Bible teaching, prayer, children and youth guidance, leadership development, and community-based ministry.

Because Bridges of Grace Church is currently meeting as a house church in Central Uganda, discipleship is personal and relational. People can ask questions, receive prayer, grow in fellowship, and be encouraged as they learn to follow Jesus.

As we prepare for the January 2027 church launch, discipleship will remain one of the strongest foundations of the church.

We are not only preparing to gather people. We are preparing to grow people in the Word of God.

Discipleship in Minnesota

In Minnesota, Bridges of Grace continues to grow through missionary work, prayer, Bible teaching, outreach, and ministry partnerships.

We believe discipleship is needed everywhere. People in every nation need the Word of God, spiritual guidance, prayer, and Christian community.

Our desire is to serve faithfully in Minnesota while also strengthening the discipleship work taking place in Uganda.

Raising faithful followers of Jesus

Discipleship is not only about learning. It is about becoming.

We want children to grow up knowing the Word of God.
We want young people to be guided by truth and wisdom.
We want women and men to be strengthened in faith.
We want families to be built on prayer and Scripture.
We want leaders to serve with humility and integrity.

Above all, we want to see believers become disciples who also make disciples.

This is the heart of Bridges of Grace.

How you can support discipleship

You can support discipleship and Bible teaching by praying, giving, volunteering, teaching, helping provide Bibles, supporting printed lessons, and helping train leaders.

Your support helps provide Bibles, discipleship materials, Bible study resources, children and youth teaching tools, leadership training, transportation for ministry leaders, prayer gatherings, and church launch teaching resources.

Every Bible given matters.
Every class supported matters.
Every teacher equipped matters.

Through your partnership, someone can grow in the Word of God and learn to walk faithfully with Jesus.

Our prayer

Our prayer is that Bridges of Grace will raise faithful disciples who know Jesus, love His Word, walk in obedience, and serve others with grace.

We want to help people move from hearing the Gospel to living the Gospel.

May lives be built on Christ.
May families be strengthened by Scripture.
May communities be touched by the love and truth of God’s Word.

Jesus is the Teacher.
The Bible is our foundation.
Discipleship is our calling.
