Governance & Accountability

Stewarding the mission with care

Bridges of Grace exists to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, make disciples, teach the Word of God, and serve people with the love of Christ.

Because this work belongs to God, we believe it must be carried with humility, integrity, prayer, and accountability.

Every gift matters.
Every child matters.
Every family matters.
Every ministry opportunity matters.

We want to handle what God has entrusted to us with clean hands and sincere hearts. Governance is not only paperwork to us. It is part of faithful stewardship.

Our nonprofit structure

Bridges of Grace is incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the State of Minnesota and recognized as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

This structure helps us serve communities in Minnesota and Uganda through Gospel outreach, discipleship, church ministry, children and family support, community care, nature conservation, and missionary work.

Bridges of Grace is guided by its Constitution, Board of Directors, adopted policies, and applicable nonprofit laws. These safeguards help us remain faithful to our mission and responsible in the way we serve.

Board oversight

Bridges of Grace is governed by a Board of Directors that provides legal, financial, spiritual, and organizational oversight.

The Board helps protect the mission, approve major decisions, review finances, adopt policies, strengthen accountability, and support the long-term health of the ministry.

Their work helps ensure that Bridges of Grace continues to serve with wisdom, transparency, and care.

We believe good leadership protects people.
Good governance protects the mission.
Faithful oversight honors God.

Financial stewardship

We believe every donation is a sacred trust.

When someone gives to Bridges of Grace, they are partnering with Gospel work, discipleship, church ministry, children and family care, community service, and mission in Uganda and Minnesota.

For this reason, we seek to use funds carefully, prayerfully, and responsibly.

Donations are used for approved ministry and charitable purposes, including Gospel outreach, Bible teaching, Bridges of Grace Church, children and family support, community care, Uganda ministry operations, Minnesota missionary work, nature conservation, and responsible administration.

We maintain financial controls, spending approval processes, donation records, documentation standards, and reporting practices to help protect the ministry and honor the generosity of those who give.

Accountability in Uganda and Minnesota

Bridges of Grace serves in both Uganda and Minnesota, and we understand the importance of accountability across both places.

In Uganda, our work includes Gospel outreach, discipleship, children and family support, community care, and Bridges of Grace Church in Central Uganda. Ministry funds sent to Uganda are expected to be used for approved purposes and supported through reports, receipts where available, ministry updates, and leadership accountability.

In Minnesota, Bridges of Grace carries out missionary and discipleship work while also supporting the broader mission. We desire to serve faithfully in both nations with transparency, compassion, and responsibility.

Protecting children and vulnerable people

Children, families, vulnerable young adults, women, and communities are close to the heart of Bridges of Grace.

Because of this, safeguarding is one of our most important responsibilities.

We are committed to protecting children and vulnerable people from abuse, neglect, exploitation, unsafe environments, and harm. Everyone who serves with Bridges of Grace is expected to treat people with dignity, patience, humility, and respect.

Our desire is not only to serve people. Our desire is to serve them safely, carefully, and in a way that reflects the love of Jesus Christ.

Integrity in leadership and decisions

Bridges of Grace is committed to avoiding improper private benefit, misuse of ministry resources, and decisions influenced by personal gain.

Board members, officers, leaders, staff, missionaries, and ministry workers are expected to disclose actual or potential conflicts of interest. Compensation, reimbursements, contracts, and related-party transactions must be reviewed and approved according to the organization’s policies and governance standards.

These practices protect the organization, its leaders, its donors, and the people we serve.

Our commitment to donors and partners

We are deeply grateful for every person who prays, gives, volunteers, encourages, and partners with Bridges of Grace.

Our commitment is to steward every gift with honesty and purpose. We seek to communicate clearly, protect donor information, use donations responsibly, and honor donor restrictions when they are accepted and consistent with our mission.

Your partnership helps us preach Christ, make disciples, support Bridges of Grace Church, care for children and families, and serve communities with love.

Our heart

Accountability is not only about policies. It is about faithfulness.

We want Bridges of Grace to be a ministry that honors God in public and in private. We want our leadership to be humble, our records to be clear, our service to be safe, and our resources to be used for the glory of Christ.

The work belongs to God.
The people we serve are precious to Him.
The resources entrusted to us must be handled with care.

By God’s grace, we will continue building Bridges of Grace with integrity, transparency, prayer, and obedience to Jesus Christ.
